Shelley is a poet, short story and magazine writer, instructor and past president of the NSWA. This will be the launch of Shelley's collection of poems "Life Leaves Stains". Come and spend an enjoyable evening listening to Shelley and if you DARE--bring your own work to share with her.She'd love to hear it.
NSWA's April meeting at Capilano Library (Monday April 19 at 7pm-Potlatch Room) will host speaker Shaena Lambert, story writer and novelist. Born and raised right here in Vancouver Shaena has resided in Toronto, New York, and the Okanagan Valley, which forms the setting for some of her short stories.
Holding a BFA in Honours Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, Shaena has studied fiction with Margaret Atwood, Bonnie Burnard and Peter Carey. She currently teaches short story and novel writing through the Humber School for writers in Toronto, as well as providing critical feedback to writers on a freelance basis.Please come and join us for a most interesting evening.
